Genius Move is a remake of the classic Japanese puzzle Sokoban. The game consists in placing a number of pieces, in this particular case ice cubes, on a set point in the board using a character to push them. In the role of the traditional ‘warehouse keeper’, we will find a little penguin that is really well animated and charming. The rules, as in Sokoban, are very simple, we only have to place the ice cubes over the lights on the grid to illuminate them. Although the first levels are quite easy, as we advance we are going to face increasingly challenging stages that will require a lot of thinking. The board will present a more intrincate path, and it will be necessary to think thoroughly each move. In case you make a mistake or discover a more convenient move, you can rapidly undo the last actions, and even restart your current game if necessary. Another very useful feature is the Joker; it will basically help you find a way out when the game seems to be over, but using it implies losing some points.
On the other hand, we have two options to control the penguin, one with the mouse, and the other with the arrow keys, being the latter the most recommended choice. The game has nice graphics and animations. Besides, it is possible to choose among different screen resolutions and qualities, depending on the resources of your system.
To play Genius Move it’s necessary to download and install a software client by WildTangent, which will give access to a trial version of the game.
